Raphaela Meneghetti Fagundes

Rapha is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and a candidate for the MACP degree at Yorkville University. With extensive experience in community outreach, including work in emergency rooms and the shelter system, she has supported individuals from diverse backgrounds facing challenges such as homelessness, mental health issues, and substance use. Currently, Rapha works with individuals dealing with ADHD, stress management, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, life transitions, and relationship issues. She is known for her sensitivity, compassion, and empathy, working from a client-centred, trauma-informed, and harm-reduction framework. Her therapeutic approaches include Solution-Focused, Strength-Based, Cognitive Behavioural, and Existential Therapy. Before becoming a counsellor, Rapha worked as a project manager in the private and non-profit sectors. She brings unique skills from these roles into her psychotherapy practice, striving to work collaboratively with clients to set clear, measurable, and achievable treatment goals. Rapha has firsthand experience with immigration and the challenges of adapting to a new country with diverse cultural values and languages. She is fluent in French, Spanish, and Portuguese, and offers counselling in English and Portuguese.
